For 2021 only, the Board has determined that if we are never able to use the fields even for practice, the season will be deemed to no longer occur, and your registration fee will be refunded in full. Once teams are formed and practices commence, your registration fee is non-refundable. We will not start a season until we can expect to finish that season.
For 2021: Are there refunds? And if not, why?
Once the season begins -- which is when practices begin -- there are no refunds. At that point, all the significant expenses that the league has -- field maintenance (PPBA maintains those fields 12 months a year -- it is a major expense), baseball supplies, permits, uniforms, etc. -- will have been pre-paid for the entire season. We know this might lead to an outcome where families pay for a season and "only" end up with a spring full of practices, but with the uncertainty, we are all living in, it is the reality of the situation.
If the Board decides that a meaningful season is unlikely (due to health conditions) a decision may be made to not have a season at all -- before practices begin -- in which case, there will be a refund.
